Oh no, not again!

The Rubber Chicken having his revenge was so improbable that he was turned into a bowl of lemons wrapped around a large gold brick. Afterwards, when being interviewed by the Leopard, he was heard to say, "Oh no, not again!"

The month that ended

So, tomorrow beckons.

Tomorrow will be July 30th, and I return to work for the first time since July 4th. The waiting game has ended, perhaps.

It is an interesting side note to make that while a month away from work sounds like quite a delight, I have found it slightly more thought provoking than a Wiggles concert and only slightly less expensive than a first class flight to London, return.

So I am glad the month has nearly ended. My suits are dry-cleaned, my shirts ironed and my rather extensive collection of ties has again been grouped according to colour. The only thing that awaits me is Monday morning around the coffee-making facilities. Oh the joy!

And, no, I am not being sarcastic. Perhaps I am odd but getting up early and driving to work is a pleasure for me; it gives meaning to a currently devoid-of-much-meaning existence.

I can see my eventual retirement will be an utter pain...

Vladamir is in THERAPY...

Count Vladamir von Jiblets has lead a rather interesting life to date...

Although he has been absent for quite a while, I can now tell you all the following (small) pieces of news:

He has overcome his alcohol addiction - no one likes pickled rubber chicken...

He has overcome his gambling addiction - he can't pick up the dice anyway and has a different idea of what one does on a CRAPS table...

But he has been allowed to continue playing the occasional game of cards (I do promise photos will be posted soon) and although Le Poulet has beaten him twice, Jiblets won the last match and is well back in contention for the top perch.

But he still continues the lonliness therapy (which is set to go for a while, considering he has been neutered and won't be fathering any rubber eggs).

So... I'm off to take some piccies!

The waiting game.

While not a favorite game of mine by any stretch of the imagination (and, yes, my imagination does stretch quite considerably...) it is a game that we all play at times.

I do not play it well, even though I do contend to understand most of the rules of the game.

And, the more hopeful I am regarding an outcome, the worse a player I am.

I wonder, at times, if my impatience is the reason for my lack of other 'players' at times. People do not see impatience as a 'good' quality - it implies being under pressure, which unless you are a hot liquid that does not wish to evaporate, is not a pleasant situation to find yourself in at all.

So, to pass the time while I play the waiting game, I write here.
